Bali Island, Indonesia is very famous for tourist. Bali also well known as Paradise Island or Magical Island with interesting places to see such as beaches, mountains, cultures, traditional dances, temples, rice fields, historical place, etc. Many people visiting Bali for holiday purposes with their family, couple, marriage in Bali, study on cultures or dances, or even business.

Life in Bali is always related to “Tri Hita Karana” or a tripartite concept that include the spiritual relationship between human and God, and their environment. Bali is not to be missing on your travel plan. If you decided to flight to Bali, here the Bali travel tips and guideline for you:

1. Your travel documents

As other plan when you are travel especially out of the country, prepare your all documents such as valid passport, flight tickets, travel insurances and some cash money.

2. Visa to Bali

Since February 01, 2004 there are changing to Indonesia visa policy.

* Countries that do not require a visa to enter Bali are Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Morocco, Malaysia, Vietnam, Peru, Chile, Macao Special Administrative Region, and Hongkong Special Administrative Region.

* Countries that require and eligible for visa on arrival are United States America, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Switzerland, Spain, South Korea, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Qatar, Portugal, Poland, Norway, New Zealand, Maldives, Luxembourg, Kuwait, Japan, Italy, Ireland, India, Hungary, Germany, France, Finland, Egypt, Denmark, China, Canada, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, Australia, Argentina, Arab Emirates. There are visa of 3 days stay for US$ 10 or up to 30 days at US$ 25. The visa could not be extended and converted to different visa.

* The other citizens of countries who are not on the above lists required to apply a visa before entering Indonesia.

3. International Airport in Bali

The name of International airport in Bali called Ngurah Rai Airport. If you check the flight schedule, make sure you check the name of our destination is Denpasar. Today there is an increasing number of direct flight connections between Bali and Adelaide, Amsterdam, Auckland, Bangkok, Brunei, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Frankfurt, Fukuoka, Guam, Honolulu, Kaohsiung, Kuala Lumpur, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Munich, Nagoya, Osaka, Paris, Perth, Rome, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, Vienna, and Zurich.

4. Bali currency

Bali is using the Indonesian Rupiah currency. If you would like to change your money into rupiah, it is recommended to find the licensed money changer. You could find money changer in the airport that all get licensed. Credit card payments accepts most in places except traditional market with additional 3-5% each transaction, banks and automatic teller machines also available

5. Bali Population

The total population in Bali is around 3,5 million (in 2009) with the majority of Hindu religion and some are Muslim, Christian, Buddha, and Believing. The cultures influenced by India and China and you will see the strong cultures through the Hindus communities with many temples, sacral dances and daily offerings.

6. Vaccinations

There are no vaccinations required officially, however Malaria Prophylactics is recommended. Tetanus and polio booster may take as necessary.

7. Is Bali safe?

After the Bali bombings in 2002, there are Balinese guards that usually picket during the ceremony, now they are working together with local police and army and stand by at most hotels for security awareness. They are using special Balinese customs and have been trained in security and safety regulations. With all above, it will strict during security check by open the luggage, body sensor, etc to make sure that all are under control and you could enjoy the maximum experience in Bali.
